At Westfield Steel, we celebrate our team

westfield steel familyAt Westfield Steel, we hold an annual event called the “Driver Dinner”. The purpose of this event is to celebrate the contributions our driver team makes to our company. The Driver Dinner usually happens in January, after the rush of the holidays. Our leadership team enjoys an evening out with our drivers and their significant others. We all relax as a family and honor these valuable members of our team.

In 2019, we specifically celebrated Dale Miller. Dale has been a driver for Westfield Steel since 1999. He was honored for driving one million safe miles. To thank Dale for his amazing driving record, we gave him a decal for his truck, a pin for his jacket, and a $5,000 bonus. Dale was also honored for his 20 years with the company at one of our “Years of Service” dinners in March. In light of these accomplishments, we have designated 2019 “The Year of Dale”.

“We are so appreciative of the safe approach Dale takes in his daily work,” said Fritz Prine, president and CFO. “Dale is a shining example of our philosophy here at Westfield Steel. He puts the customer first and delivers excellent customer service. He is also a mentor to our driving team as a whole. We are so grateful to have him on our team.”

“It feels great to be recognized for your accomplishments,” said Miller. “It’s amazing to work for a company that appreciates what you do, and says thanks not just with kind words, but also with generous bonuses and benefits. And every time I turn around, they’re adding new benefits to our package. I would tell anyone who’s looking for a great job to consider applying at Westfield Steel. There are so many opportunities available for people who want to work hard and move up. It’s not just a job here– it’s a career.”
